AFTER THE SIGNAL
BREAKING THE STIGMA.
SUPPORTING MENTAL WELLNESS FOR THOSE WHO SERVE
The mission doesn’t end when the call is over. After the Signal exists to support mental wellness, resilience, and peer connection for first responders, military personnel, their families, and the communities they serve.
WHEN THE UNIFORM COMES OFF, THE IMPACT REMAINS
Every day, first responders run toward situations most people spend their lives trying to avoid.
What happens after the scene is cleared, the radio goes silent, and the shift ends?
After the Signal was created to help break the stigma surrounding mental health by fostering awareness, encouraging conversations, and supporting those who serve long after the call is over.

MEET CHRISTOPHER SWEENEY
LIEUTENANT, FDNY | FORMER NYPD OFFICER | FOUNDER, AFTER THE SIGNAL
After more than two decades in public service, Christopher Sweeney understands firsthand the unseen toll that comes with answering the call.
After receiving a PTSD diagnosis, he recognized a critical need for resources, conversations and support built by someone who had lived the experience.
After The Signal was created to help ensure no one has to carry that burden alone.
